BASIC PRINTMAKING

            …………an introduction to monotype printmaking

Here’s a chance to try a new medium or revive an old interest -
in a safe and solvent free small group setting.

Using oil and water based inks and fine printmaking papers, you can create monotypes........painterly original hand pulled prints, and their ghost images. We will work on my large manual Griffin etching press, reviewing the basics of using inks, transferring an image from plexi plate to paper, and many fun aspects of this medium that I’ve found and used over the years. You'll come away with several colorful works as well as black on white in various sizes. All levels welcome. No prior painting or printmaking experience needed.
