Alternative Photography - Cyanotype

FOGBELT uses the original cyanotype blueprinting process developed by Sir John Herschel in England in 1842, chemicals plus solarization – the most permanent form of printing to date. The color can be removed, but never the image.

By toning (using a variety of household products as rinses) we can take the pieces of cyanotype a step beyond the basic Prussian blue to brown or purple or cream, and many shades in between. Both paper and fabric will be used in various sizes.
